Biography
Asha Sawhney is a third year PhD student interested in the intersection of sociology and human geographies. Her primary field site is Delhi, India where she is conducting ongoing ethnographic research with Afghan refugees and the spaces they have constructed in the urban landscape. Another current project of hers is studying crisis infrastructures constructed by ordinary people in times of social unrest, such as oxygen distribution channels in the Covid-19 pandemic.
